Often there are many possible approaches to such gynecologic problems as abnormal uterine bleeding,
fibroid tumors, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, abnormal pap smears, and other gynecologic problems.
It is important for women to understand all of the options that are available to them for diagnosis and
treatment. It is often difficult to sort out what is real and what is "hype" when evaluating your options.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these new procedures when compared to traditional surgery such as
hysterectomy?
Topics include:
Causes of abnormal uterine bleeding

Although it is impossible to make specific recommendations without an individual
consultation, this web site will explore some common gynecological problems and
procedures, and attempt to help you in the decision process. Please remember that it
is essential to consult a qualified physician, as it is impossible to make specific
medical recommendations over the internet.
A
personal note...
Dear Reader,
I have written this site in order to help women learn how advances in
gynecology will help them to take control of their lives. Since
introducing office laser surgery in 1982, I
have had extensive experience in performing, researching, and
teaching hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation and other advanced
procedures. But even more important than advanced technology
is taking the time to listen to my patients. By
understanding my patients' symptoms, needs, and concerns, and by
having advanced diagnostic and treatment methods right in the office,
it is often possible to find the cause of and rapidly solve difficult
gynecologic problems.
I am hoping that after reading this site you will have a better
understanding of some of the recent advances in gynecology. And of course, if you would like a personal
consultation, I am always happy to see new patients.
Sincerely,
Paul D. Indman, M.D.
